As you can probably tell, I’m super passionate about Ann Taylor. In college, I did my senior thesis on women’s workwear because it’s always been one of my favorite categories.

Hi everyone, I'm Joshua Miller, and welcome to my YouTube channel!

Because style is my favorite subject, today I want to talk about the fall 2025 collection from one of my favorite brands, Ann Taylor.

This fall, Ann Taylor is committed to bringing you fall's finest in women's workwear with a strong emphasis on color, texture, and details. Whether it's leading the quarter 4 kickoff meeting or getting a drink with your friends in New York City, this collection is there for the girl who wants to do everything and be the best at it. And in this collection, the three biggest design directions are spiced shades, genuine suede, and modern menswear.

First, I'm really happy that Spiced Shades was included in this collection. As you all know, orange is my favorite color, which is why I'm always looking for it to be further included within the workplace and in workwear more broadly, which is why I think that Ann Taylor gets an A+ for including it in this collection. Here, this shade looks sleek and modern, but it's also very fashionable and cool. It's the kind of thing that you can very easily work into your wardrobe with the clothes you already have, but still wear to work knowing that everyone is going to think that you look great and even receive a compliment here or there. And also, don't you just love the cut of these pants? I just think that they're so classic and so modern and just so Ann Taylor.

The next design direction is genuine suede. I really like how this is a nod to the cowboy core trend that we've been seeing in fashion the last two years. And I'm really glad that Ann Taylor is finding a very sleek, modern, and quite frankly Ann Taylor way to incorporate this trend in the workplace. By using genuine suede leather throughout their collection, they make everything feel fashionable, but it also helps push forward what workwear is usually thought of as.

Women's workwear is usually just thought of as being a byproduct of men's workwear because that's how workwear has traditionally been defined. But when you look at the clothes within this trend direction, they're very fashion-forward. These are the kinds of pieces that you could wear not just to work, but to anything else — a dinner party, a night out with friends, shopping, even a photo shoot. The possibilities are really endless with these clothes, and I just love them so much.

The last major design direction is modern menswear. Throughout the collection and throughout the promotion of it, you can see a lot of blazers being styled as the main focal point of the collection, which makes sense. When people think Ann Taylor, they think of women's workwear suits. So their blazers have to be a centerpiece and one of the

best parts of the collection. And I feel like here, Ann Taylor as usual did not let us down.

These blazers are what I like to call elevated basics — the kinds of things that you can wear with clothes you already have, but that instantly make your outfit look more fashionable and stylish. For example, if you were to wear one of these plaid blazers, I guarantee that you would get a compliment in the elevator just because they stand out and they're that cool. But they're not hard to style, and they're the kind of piece that's always going to be in style — which is why I think Ann Taylor is such a great brand and why I think they knocked it out of the park this fall.

Lastly, to wrap up this video, I want to go through my five favorites from this collection. This jacket is so cool — my only critique is that I wish they had one for men. I feel like this skirt is another example of an elevated basic. It's the kind of thing that you could wear with something as simple as a white leather sneaker and a black t-shirt tucked in, and I guarantee you'd be one of the best dressed people in the office, especially if it's a more casual environment.

This dress will always be in style, and I love that it goes with just about anything. As long as you pair this dress with an accent piece in a trendy color, I really think this dress will never go out of style.

In fashion, I’ll admit I really do have a bias toward jackets and blazers. But these shoes — how could you possibly ignore them? I really love this print, but my favorite thing about these shoes is the way the prints intersect at the front. There’s something just so visually compelling about the way those diagonals meet at the toe.

Lastly, I love this crocodile leather bag. I love the way black and gold sit together, especially when the black leather has a white undertone.
